Summary
Pages 125 – 129— Dinesh arrives back at the clearing quickly, spurred on by the thought of Ganga. Though at his weakest he has ever been in his short adult life, Dinesh felt a surge of strength walking back through the camp. On the way, he thinks about how to communicate his desire to take care of Ganga to her and considers embracing her as soon as he sees her. As he stands at the edge of the clearing, he thinks about the other times in his life he has felt this sense of impatient yearning, as if there were something waiting for him. He recalls moments where he saw in vivid detail a world independent of him and sensed the possibility of encompassing it in its entirety. Dinesh feels unable to fully express how he would accomplish this, however, and the sense of possibility eventually fades...
