Summary
In Chapter 45, at 108 years old, Abigail Freemantle believed that the time had come for God to fulfill His purpose through her. She was afraid of the man with no face who came to her in dreams, but she also knew that the Lord did not care about her fear.
Mother Abagail dreamed of her greatest accomplishment, when she sang and played guitar in the White men’s talent show at Grange Hall in 1902. She had been applauded and even called back for an encore. That night, she had a different dream. In this dream, the dark man had been in the crowd at Grange Hall.
