Summary
Chapter 84: As Eric courted Mary, the British suffered defeat in the Middle East and Libya, and Hitler attacked in the Balkans. Churchill toured Swansea where his positive effect on citizens' morale was clear. The same effect occurred when Churchill visited Bristol shortly after a bombing there. Back at Chequers, more grim news from the Middle East was slightly mitigated by the news that Roosevelt would expand the American Naval security zone to help secure British shipping. However, British losses overseas and the increased air raids meant that some members of the government were losing confidence in Churchill's leadership.
Chapter 85: As Goring planned a new series of attacks on London, Churchill dispatched intelligence to Stalin informing him of Hitler's planning invasion. Stalin did not reply.
