Summary

In Chapter 18, the Wedding Cup participants head to a bar. Isa interrupts Lina’s thoughts to ask how Lina and Aaron met. Lina starts telling the story of Aaron’s first day. Lina says everyone was impressed by his presentation, but she could tell he was nervous. Aaron continues the story. He confirms that he was on edge during his first days on the job. Aaron describes how stupidly he reacted to Lina's welcome gift. When Lina presented him with a funny, engineering-related mug, he was so stunned by her kindness that he did not know how to respond. He merely thanked her and asked her if he could help her somehow. Aaron explains that, eventually, he persuaded Lina that she needed him. They have been together ever since. While Lina is struck by Aaron's confession, Isa is thrilled with the story.
