Summary
Sera, Dinaz, and Viraf sit down to dinner. Dinaz does not want the meal Bhima cooked for them. She says it makes her sick. She asks Viraf to take her out to dinner instead. Sera is disappointed and worries that Bhima will be, too. In the car, Dinaz reminisces about her father. Sera remarks that he has been gone three years. Sera says that she has not been to Chowpatty since a few days before Feroz died. They had gone to the fire temple to pray for Banu’s recovery from a stroke. She says they used to go to Chowpatty all the time before they were married. Viraf tells them that when he first met Feroz he had advised Viraf to be persistent in pursuing a relationship with Dinaz.
