Summary
Bhima washes Sera’s dishes. Viraf comes in and offers to buy a dishwasher so that Bhima does not have to work so hard. Sera refuses his offer, claiming Bhima does a better job. Bhima is both proud of her comment and angered by it. Then, she feels ashamed for being angry at Sera since her family has done so much for her and Maya.
Bhima knows that Sera is anxious for Viraf and Dinaz to leave because she wants to hear about Sera’s trip to Maya’s college the day before. Sera has been supportive of Bhima and has suggested that Maya should have an abortion. Bhima had hesitated to accept Sera’s offer to help because Maya did not seem to want an abortion.
