Hacienda Nápoles

Hacienda Nápoles is symbolic of the past. Antonio and Maya connect over their parallel experiences at the zoo, and visit it together again as adults. Now in shambles, the zoo represents the vestiges of Antonio's and Maya's irretrievable pasts.

Cassette

The cassette is symbolic of truth and understanding. Ricardo, Antonio, Consu, and Maya all listen to the cassette and hear the recording of the pilots talking before Elaine's plane crashed into the mountain.
