Summary
Chapter 18 is titled “No One Said Anything About Shots.” Dr. Silva gives Jacob an immunization “just in case” (123) they encountered anything on their trip to the Amazon. Though Jacob hates lying to John, he plans to say that he and Dr. Silva are working on an experiment that will require monitoring overnight to explain his absence. Dr. Silva also warns that he has to have his passport with him, just in case they are not able to use the tree portal to return home.
Dr. Silva explains more about the Soulkeepers. There are three basic kinds: Helpers who are charged with providing support; Horsemen who are the warriors; and Healers, who are the most rare of the three. King David and Moses were Horsemen.
