Summary

Chapter 6 is titled “Dane.” Dane meets an unnamed girl who is later introduced as Aurial, a fallen angel. She wants Dane to bring Jacob to meet her. Dane has tried, but Jacob refuses to go with him. Dane wants to refuse to try again, but he is mesmerized by a scent. He pleads for a drink she has given him before. She gives it to him and he feels “pure liquid power” (41). Dane immediately believes he will do anything as long as she gives him the drink.

In Chapter 7, “Excavation,” the items from Jacob and Lily's home arrive.
