Sy Montgomery
Montgomery is a naturalist and author who was written nine books for adults and fourteen for children. Most of her books are about animal species, and her writing is appreciated by many for its poetic descriptions of biological sciences. Montgomery was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1958 and went to Westfield High School in New Jersey, U.S. She graduated from Syracuse University with degrees in magazine journalism, French language & literature, and psychology. She now lives in Hancock, New Hampshire with her husband Howard Mansfield. He is also a writer (covering history, preservation, and architecture) and attended Syracuse too. They live in an old farmhouse with their border collie and an ever-changing cast of other animals.
