Chapter 18 Summary
Billy sits in the high school library while all of the books the school board deems inappropriate are removed. When the board tries to get the books banned from the city library, it doesn't work. When more kids start using the city library, this creates jobs for Ms. Lloyd, who quit, and Mr. Bartholomew. Eddie starts selling t-shirts and bumper stickers like the t-shirt Montana wore to the school board meeting that says, "Leviticus Sucks." Eddie got suspended for three days for wearing the prototype t-shirt, but was reinstated when he wrote a rambling and not very much an apology "apology" letter. Because Eddie doesn't need him anymore, Billy is getting ready to leave. Eddie is making new friends and even moving towards trying to make Montana West his girlfriend. Before he goes, Billy compiles the story into a book manuscript and manages...
