Chapter 17 Summary
Montanan bursts into the meeting in a cloud of black and silver. She says she couldn't speak until she finished her homework. She hangs her homework to her dada and starts her speech against banning the book. When she realizes Crutcher is there, she turns it over to him. Crutcher realizes he could never follow such an amazing speech so he says he agrees with what Montana said. After the meeting, while Ms. Lloyd, Mr. Bartholomew, Crutcher, and Eddie are drinking coffee, all of the Crutcher books are cleared off the library shelves.
Chapter 17 Analysis
