Chapter 15 Summary
On Sunday, Billy's dad goes to church with Eddie and Eddie's mom. One of the church members says that Billy's dada can stay for the sermon but that Eddie's testimony is only for the congregation members, so that he'll have to leave. Tarter gives his sermon all about the school board meeting and how the community is at a crossroads between good and evil. When it's time for Eddie to speak, Billy's dad leaves and the reverend introduces Eddie, reminding the congregation everything Eddie has been through in the past year. Billy sees an open "window" and knows he has to take advantage of it as Eddie stands up to speak.
