Summary

After a few days of trekking, Jaxie was beginning to run out of water. He came across a deserted shack in the desert, which had a water tank. He drank from it and the water made him violently ill.

The next day, Jaxie decided to boil any water he drank from the tank. He saw a kangaroo but was unable to shoot it because his eye was still swollen from being punched by the Captain the day he died. On his second day at the shack, Jaxie used his browning rifle to shoot and kill a lizard, which he ate. He didn’t see anything else to hunt for two days.
