Chapter 5: Hank Summary

Hank Spotswood comes over to Olivia's house to have a dinner date with her. She had met him earlier and rather than go out to a traditional restaurant, Olivia invites him to her house instead. He is an American only in town for a short period of time. Over dinner, he asks if she will show him some of the English countryside that he has heard so much about. She agrees and they spend the night together.

However, while he is still there, Olivia receives a phone call from Antonia. She is coming to England because Cosmo has just passed away suddenly.
