Summary

In Chapter 30, on Saturday night, Susan was preparing for Robert to visit when she heard a slamming noise downstairs. She tried to call Robert but did not get an answer. Susan went downstairs to investigate.

Susan closed and locked the sliding door. Because she was uneasy, she decided to wait for Robert outside, but her car would not start so she went upstairs to dress. She heard the sliding door being slammed open again. Susan called Thom and begged him to come over because there was someone in the house.

Downstairs, Susan saw someone wearing black standing in the middle of the living room. The intruder ran at Susan and sliced at her with his knife, splitting her right breast wide open.
