Chapters 25-28 Summary
Chapter 25
Rand is surrounded by a bright light. Ahead of him is a Shaido Aiel named Muradin, who came into the city before they arrived. Aiel who wish to become clan chiefs must enter Rhuidean and journey into the circle of crystal columns. Rand has a series of visions. The visions take him back in time, first into the mind of an Aiel man who is, along with his people, crossing over the Spine of the World and into the Waste for the first time; then Rand sees into the minds of the man's progenitors. Rand lives through several key events in the lives of each. As he gets closer to Muradin, he sees that the Aiel man has gauged out his own eyes, unable to bear the vision.
