Summary
Evelyn marries Rex North to drum up publicity for Anna Karenina. They have an understanding; it is a sexless marriage and Rex North is free to date whomever he wants as long as he is discreet. Evelyn recalls hiring her El Salvadorian housekeeper Luisa, who was surprised to discover her employer speaks Spanish. The tabloids run an article about Evelyn's marriage, and another about Celia's engagement to NFL quarterback John Braverman. A third article notes the box office success of Anna Karenina. Rex and Evelyn are both nominated for Oscars; neither win. Evelyn is now 25 years old, and she misses Celia. Harry calls and informs Evelyn that Paramount Studios wants to sign her to a three-picture deal at a million dollars apiece. She is now the highest paid actress in Hollywood.
