Chapters 1-4 Summary
This book is the third in a trilogy of novels known as the Kane Chronicles. In this novel, Carter and Sadie find themselves faced with the dilemma of how to stop Apophis, the god of Chaos, from destroying the world.
In Chapter 1, Carter, Sadie, and several magicians from their nome, Brooklyn House, descend on the Dallas Museum of Art and its connected nome. Apophis has attacked several other locations where copies of a specific scroll, The Book of Overcoming Apophis written by a magician called Setne. The Dallas Museum of Art currently is displaying a collection of King Tut artifacts and the last of these scrolls is among them. Carter convinces the leader of the nome, JD Grissom, to allow them to show him the scroll and discuss security. JD swears that his nome has the place completely secure, but Carter...
