Summary

In "Time In Time Out," Tookie's grade school teacher sent her a dictionary in prison. When she was in her thirties, Tookie committed a crime. On the day of the crime, Tookie was hanging out with Danae. Danae got a call. She learned that Budgie had "died in Mara's arms" (4). Because Danae was in love with Budgie, she begged Tookie to transport Budgie's body from Mara's house to her house. Although unsure about the plan, Tookie agreed because she had a crush on Danae. Danae also promised to pay her a large sum of money.
