The Way Home Summary and Analysis
The ancient Hawaiians lived by the Golden Rule. They had three angles for adhering to the Golden Rule. The first was accuracy of living and was called Kalana. The second, Hewa, had to do with balance in actions and in life. This was punished by ridicule which brought the offender back into balance. The third angle was 'Ino, which is concerned with the flow of energy.
The Hawaiian legend teaches that the Old Ones of the High Order will return even after a period of hundreds of centuries. No matter what goes on in the world, they will return to the garden. Pila believes that the Light Warrior will also return to the Indian tribes.
