The Crossroads Summary and Analysis
Pila refers to Honaunau as the Edge of Eternity. It is now a federal park and energy vortex. The ancient Hawaiians viewed the area as a sacred place where offenses were forgiven. Many terminally ill people come there for healing. There is a five mile triangular area with healing energies. The best time for this ritual is at sunset. People can remain at the park until midnight.
There are two phenomena that have been reported at the park. The first is a thirty foot tall specter dressed in white walking on the water in the park. The interpretations of the figure depends on one's personal beliefs. The second phenomena is aball of light about which not much is known.
