Summary

In Chapter 8, which returns to the third person narrator, it is indicated that Chris has six months, one week, and four days left in his life. Holly, Selena, Julia, and Rebecca are relaxing in the cypress grove, the place outside at Kilda’s that they consider theirs. The narrator notes this as the moment that changes the courses of their lives. When Holly thought about this moment later, she came to the conclusion that Marcus Wiley was responsible for Chris’ death.
