Summary
Reuben let out a yelp while testing the watch because he was plunged into total darkness, making him completely blind. His mother came looking for him, but did not see him. Reuben realized that while holding the watch, not only was he blind, but he was also invisible to others. He told his mother that she had not seen him because he was under the bed looking for his book. While his mother started watching a movie, Reuben took a toy digital camera and used it to test his theory about the watch's invisibility power. He held the watch while taking pictures of himself and confirmed his ideas of how it worked. He became accustomed to the blindness but also realized that he was very tired.
