Christopher Fairfax

Christopher Fairfax is a young priest who has yet to be assigned to a parish. He is in his mid-twenties and graduated from the seminary only a few year ago. He is fairly idealistic and has a strong moral sense. He became a priest because he believed it to be the best way to help other people. One day, he is sent from the Church’s central headquarters in Exeter to a small Wessex village called Addicott St. George. His assignment is to perform the funeral of the priest there, who recently died.

However, when Fairfax arrives, he soon learns several troubling facts about the priest’s death, including the fact that a mysterious stranger visited the priest on the day of his death. Fairfax finds that the priest had collected forbidden books and artifacts from the pre-apocalypse era. Fairfax joins with a few of the villagers...
