Summary
In Chapter 13, the next time Trey visits, he successfully shoots a rabbit. Cal notices that Trey appears to have no trouble with the idea of killing something, but is distressed by the rabbit’s suffering. As they were waiting for the rabbit, Trey had told Cal about a cottage Brendan went to once before when he went away. Trey tells Cal he could take him there, but Cal says they do not need to be seen together there. He also warns Trey not to go there by himself.
