Summary

In Chapter 12, Lockwood is angry that Lucy was so careless to have brought a ghost into their home. Lucy apologizes, saying she got caught up in the chaos. She also admits “I just wanted to save something of her, so she wouldn't be completely lost” (156). George says Inspector Barnes would use this as another reason to close them down. Lucy believes George is happy that she is in trouble. Lucy had carried the necklace in her pocket which had iron filings and salt packets that kept the ghost contained. The necklace apparently fell out in Lucy's room. Lucy points out that ghosts are usually most attached to their bones, meaning the skeleton should have been the Source for Annabel's ghost.
