Thisby

Thisby is the main setting of “The Scorpio Races”. It is the island where the narrative takes place, plus it is the only location where the capaill uisce emerge from the sea each fall and are ridden in the races. Puck loves the island she calls home.

Malvern Yard

Owned by Benjamin Malvern, Malvern Yard has horse stables where Sean works even as he dreams of being independent.

Skarmouth

Skarmouth is the town on Thisby where Fathom & Sons and other stores are located. Both Puck and Sean frequently visit Skarmouth to run errands.

Beaches

The races are held on the beaches, and riders who practice must do so within 150 yards of the shore, a dangerous act since this is where the capaill uisce emerge.
