Sean Kendrick

Sean Kendrick is one of the main characters and protagonists in this novel, as well as being one of the narrators. He is a nineteen-year-old orphan whose father died in the Scorpio Races when Sean was ten years old. A quiet and reserved young man, Sean is the returning champion for this year’s races. After seeing his father die in the Scorpio Races at the age of ten, Sean decides never to be afraid like his father. Nine years later, he eagerly anticipates the approach of the races.
