Summary

Chapter 9

In Chapter 9, Sean takes Corr to the beach after it empties in the evening. Registration begins tonight at the Gratton's, but Sean cannot wait for the first week of negotiations to end, which is when life really begins. Corr looks to the sea, but Sean gains his attention. He trusts Corr more than the others, though he knows he should not trust him at all. Sean and Corr play in the sea. As they climb the cliffs, Mutt and his friends are laughing because Mutt urinated in Sean's boots. Sean empties his boots and carries them inland.
