Summary
Chapter 51
While waiting on the cliffs for Puck in Chapter 51, Sean does not know what they expect from each other after last night. When Puck arrives, she worries about Dove's timidity around the capaill uisce, and Sean suggests Dove will release her speed as long as Puck is not afraid. After they work the horses, Puck asks if she will see Sean on the cliffs tomorrow. Puck and Sean work the horse together for days, and she thinks "about the way he looks at me - with respect - and I think that's probably worth more than anything" (page 328). Watching Sean with Corr, Puck realizes the thought of Sean losing his horse is unbearable, yet both of them cannot win.
