Summary

Frida turns 40 in Chapter 15. It is August. The mothers practice asking for more child support from the fathers. Tucker flirts with Frida as they practice. Frida still rebuffs his efforts at physical affection but is secretly flattered. She regains her phone privileges and speaks to Gust, Susanna, and Harriet. Susanna is pregnant. She and Gust are getting married. Harriet is potty trained and speaks much more now. Harriet tells Frida to come back home.

The parents practice how to speak to stepparents without getting angry. Frida’s counselor warns her again about Tucker. Frida fantasizes about marrying him. Meryl starts seeing a father named Colin. Frida FaceTimes Gust, Susanna, and Harriet, while they are on vacation. Susanna tells Frida about the preschool Harriet will be starting. Frida feels embarrassed that the preschool teachers know about her sentence.
