Summary
Chapter 4 resumes one week later. Ms. Torres calls Frida while she is in the bathroom at work to reschedule their next visit to Harriet. Devastated, Frida returns to her desk. She hopes Gust is explaining to Harriet that none of this is her choice. Once home, Frida weeps in Harriet’s nursery.
Ms. Torres delays the visit another four times. Frida loses weight. She told Will to stop contacting her. Frida’s boss removes her work-from-home privileges once she submits another assignment late. Frida’s parents send her money for the legal fees, making her feel guilty.
