Summary

In Chapter 5, N descended into the hotel's lobby and noticed the bar was closed and asked the concierge why it shut down so early. Though N's watch read nine pm, the concierge told him it was actually after eleven. In the parking lot, N found a flyer on his car that read “STOP SITES OF GENOCIDE FROM BECOMING TOURIST ATTRACTIONS” (45). On the back, there was a map of California with numerous X marks. With annoyance, N crumpled the flyer and dropped it on the ground.
