Part Seven Summary
Larissa, a young woman, takes a taxi to an abandoned lot in Los Angeles, where she locates Lyta. In the Dreaming, Lyta sees her as a white bird. Larissa gets Lyta to come back with her in the taxi. Meanwhile, in the Dreaming, the Norse god Odin comes to the magical guardians of Morpheus's castle and demands that Morpheus come out and see him. He tells Morpheus that Loki was trapped captive under the earth, bound with Loki's son's entrails, with a snake's poison dripping on his face to prevent his escape. Odin frees him for a short time and is tricked into returning a dream-thing to Loki's prison.
Morpheus says Loki put someone else in his place, and Morpheus discovers it so frees the prisoner and places the dream-thing in the trap. Odin warns Morpheus of the danger of Loki...
