Episode 3 Summary
In Asgard, the abode of the gods in Norse mythology, the god Odin is visited by his ravens, Huginn and Muninn, Thought and Memory, who act as his eyes and ears on earth. After hearing their message, he sets off for the cavern beneath the world, where the trickster god Loki is imprisoned. He tells Loki that he needs his help, and that he may have a reprieve if he accompanies Odin to petition to the Dream king for possession of the kingdom of Hell, where Odin hopes to ride out the cataclysm called Ragnarok, an apocalyptic event which may arrive at any time to destroy the gods.
