Chapters 21 - 30 Summary

In Chapter 21, a confused Michael wakes up and realizes that it is Annie instead of Christine at the cabin. Annie fills him in on what happened and then he starts to remember why he is there. Doc calls to check on Michael and Annie realizes that she has not called home. She hesitates as she dials the number and comes to the conclusion that she cannot tell David what has happened with Michael. He tells her what happened with Elliot and his past, but Annie is unwilling to open up about her past.

During Chapter 22, Max listens to the phone message from his dad's secretary, Sally, about the newspaper article his grandma helped to write. It is about Annie's disappearance and how Darlene fears foul play. The article upsets David, Max, and Caroline.
