Summary

Part 4 opens on Franny sighting Haylin walking toward her as she sits upon a rock in Central Park. He is now attending Yale Medical School, the same school her father attended. They talk, mostly about his girlfriend and her choice to take care of her family instead of to go to college with him. Lewis, Franny’s crow familiar, is still following Haylin around after all of the years Franny and Haylin have been apart. After the two go their separate ways, Lewis returns to Franny.

Vincent and William go to San Francisco during the Summer of Love in 1967. They enjoy the way they are able to openly embrace their homosexuality in the city. They go to Monterey for the Monterey Pop Festival, where William talks his publicist friend into letting Vincent perform during an undesirable timeslot. When Vincent does perform, he...
