Sean is at the pub waiting to see Lauren. He saw her put a message in his mail box, so he is certain she is the mystery girl who wants him. He is thrilled that the mystery girl turns out to be someone so completely beautiful. Sean grows weary of waiting for Lauren, of the boring artsy talk at one table, and the boring Viet Nam talk at another. Sean follows the pretty girl that just left the table and discovers that there is a guy already there in her bed. Sean goes and visits Susan, who at first is not receptive since she has a boyfriend. Susan is Sean's hippie girlfriend from his Freshman year.
