Ariel Levy
Ariel Levy is the primary focus and author of The Rules Do Not Apply. She grew up an only child in Larchmont, a suburb of New York City. From a young age, Ariel demonstrated an adventurous, independent, boisterous spirit. Her pursuit of adventure and love of books is what led her to become a journalist in Manhattan.
Ariel begins her career as a typist at New York Magazine and eventually lands her first story writing about gender and women's issues. These topics continue to feature prominently in her writing throughout her career. As Ariel's professional life grows, she is given the opportunities she always dreamed of to travel and write feature stories. Eventually, she lands a job at The New Yorker and publishes her first book on gender and feminism.
