Summary
Ariel and Lucy separate and Ariel rekindles her affair with Jim.
Ariel's emails keep getting hacked. She accuses Jim but he denies doing it and is hurt by the accusation. Jim helps Ariel buy a sink for her new apartment at Ikea and she realizes how kind he his.
One morning Ariel notices that an email from Jim has been forwarded to Lucy from her email account. Even with this evidence, Ariel has a hard time believing it was Jim who did it. It is not until Jim slips and quotes something from one of Ariel's other emails that she is forced to admit he has been hacking her account and lying to her. Levy compares her breakup with Jim to cleaning up a shattered pane of glass.
Levy shifts perspective and writes the rest of the chapter in second person from Lucy's perspective...
