Summary

Part Four, Chapter Five opens with a gossip column alleging Bex and Nick’s relationship is in turmoil because Bex is too demanding. Meanwhile, Bex and Nick are enjoying the few days before Nick is re-deployed. Bex expresses a desire to go back to work, and Nick tells her to start rejecting the advice of the palace regarding her lifestyle. Bex tries to keep her anxieties in check, though, not wanting to unload so much emotion on Nick. Planning the wedding only increases Bex’s anxieties about the relationship and her life. Bex finally asserts to Marj that she wants to return to Paint Britain, if only to show the press that she is involved in something outside of the palace. This leads to a highly successful Paint Britain event hosted by Bex and Richard. After the event...
