Summary
Bex says that kissing Freddie is an incredible experience. But she quickly pulls away as she is reminded of Nick. They instantly apologize for the kiss and say neither of them meant for it to happen. They exit the tiny room, and find Clive lurking nearby. Bex sees Lacey running across the lawn, and Bex feels she knows what she is about to hear: Earl has died. Bex and Lacey immediately get on a flight to Iowa, where they help Nancy with the funeral preparations. They find out Earl had a heart attack one night while driving to a Cubs game. A large number of people attend the funeral. Bex and Lacey agree to never fight again. At the same time, Bex yearns for Nick to comfort her.
