Summary
Chapter 7
Joe goes to visit with his grandfather. He asks him about the grey-haired man he saw outside his window. His Grandfather Mooshum suggests to Joe that the man he saw could be warning him of danger and he should find his luck. For this reason, Joe goes back to the round house to find heron, his ajijaak. As he stands near the lake on a small dock searching for his luck, he finds a doll floating in the water. When Joe removes the doll’s head to drain it of water, he is shocked to find money inside. Joe goes to the gas station and shows it to Sonja. Sonja immediately takes Joe to her house where she irons the money, discovering more than forty thousand dollars.
