Summary
In Chapter 22, B3, Belinda, from the Lesbian Mothers Study, met Don at a coffee shop and told him about the initial evidence for the research project even though another one of the women had refused to tell him. B3 told him that the only people able to get the oxytocin to rise in the babies when they played with them was the fathers. In more recent experiments the playing was being changed so that it was more like cuddling. She suggested Don come back the following day but Don didn’t take the hint. Although it was argued that it wasn’t part of the study, one of the mothers allowed Don to play with her baby. B3 videoed while Don let the baby crawl over him. He enjoyed the experience. Don asked for the baby’s oxytocin level to be tested. Back...
