Chapter 10 Summary
Daisy packs her things to move back to her townhouse. When Steve questions her decision, she points to the large diamond on her hand as proof that she fails to think straight in Steve's presence. As Kevin, Daisy and Elsie prepare to leave, Steve invites them over the next morning for breakfast. Kevin and Elsie jump at the invitation, which causes Daisy to rebuke Steve's sneakiness. He promises to use more of it in the future.
Over the course of the week, Daisy realizes that they all spend nearly as much time with Steve as if they still lived with him. He plans parties, games and picnics every day. He continues to use Kevin and Elsie to lure them all back for visits. When she is honest with herself, Daisy admits that she enjoys all the distractions. However, she feels guilty about neglecting...
