Summary
"1951 The Way to Ithaka" begins with Gerald remembering Lulu’s shifting feelings for him. He then ran into an American man and his young son, Luc, Lulu’s new husband and their son. Lulu’s husband Bernie took a drive into town accompanied by 15-year-old Cassian, the son of Lulu’s close friends. Cassian had some business to take care of, and took a bag full of cash from a Hungarian man to a yacht docked nearby. When Bernie asked what he was doing, Cassian explained the money trafficking was common since England regulated the amount of cash you could take out of the country.
