Summary

In early October of DODO’s fifth year, the mobile ODECs, called ATTOs, are ready for launch and Oda prepares to retire when they are complete. Blevins reports to Frink that he has been in the ATTO while Gráinne performs psy-ops experiments. Blevins also takes Magnus to a football game and then to a Walmart to show the toughness and abundance of American life (566).

Secret Service and security transcripts narrate the Halloween party. The messages exchange security protocols, note the arrivals of important guests, and monitor civilian guests. Blevins wants Frink to tour the ATTO, so high command goes into one with Gráinne and Erszebet. The next time the security forces communicate, they are confused about whether military headquarters is named the Trapezoid or the Pentagon. Over the next hour, they settle on Pentagon.
