Mimi's Place is Grams' favorite restaurant, which she secretly owned later in life, and the place where all three sisters work and change their lives as the plot of the novel unfolds. Though in grave financial trouble at the story's beginning, the girls unite in a labor of life and impressive business acumen to turn its fate around and reestablish it as a healthy, thriving business.
