Summary

“Chapter the Tenth” (Chapter 10) – A preface to the chapter reveals that indie kids Joffrey and Earth have disappeared and been found dead miles away, while Satchel, Dylan, Lincoln, Archie, Aquamarine, and Finn hide out in an abandoned drive-in. Satchel meets the boy in her visions in the blue light near the drive-in, and he tells Satchel she is beautiful in her own way. Satchel believes she can trust the boy and she and all the other kids return home. In the main section of the novel, Mikey is worried to learn about the deaths of Joffrey and Earth, which the cops list as a car accident and a suicide. Mikey and his friends know they cannot trust the cops anymore. Mikey reveals to the reader that he and the group are going to try to tough things out and live through graduation.
